Uncle Reid wants YOU
as a Volunteer for Carp Slam XI on 9/23/2017
Volunteer Controllers are an essential part of the Denver Trout Unlimited Carp Slam – They measure fish, revive and release fish, report each team’s fish, monitor the rules, and take photos.
The controllers on each beat closely observe some of the best fly fishing anglers in the country for six hours. Many controllers eventually become Slamateur competitors in future Carp Slams.
Denver TU is looking for volunteers to help with Pro/Am Carp Slam XI on Sept 23, 2017. The fishing venue will be 15 beats on the Denver South Platte River from Oxford downstream to 120th Ave. We are seeking people to work as Controllers and Rovers for the teams on the river. This is an opportunity to learn about fly fishing for carp and other species on the Platte from the smartest, slickest, smoothest anglers in the world. You should be in good physical condition and willing to work the full day from 7 AM to 5 PM. Donuts & coffee at the kickoff, lunch, and a pre After Party repast will be provided for our volunteer army.
To volunteer please contact Reid Baker – CarpSlam Ops Manager – email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Volunteers will also receive a fabulous swag bag and a ticket to the after party on the 14th floor of DaVita with one of the most spectacular views in Denver. Food, beer and wine will be served. Music provided by Woodbelly. After Party – Evening on the South Platte tickets go on sale soon for bros, beaus, and neighbors. It is the party of the season.
