Danny Frank

Danny Frank doesn’t need a rod to catch carp, but using a rod is in the rules.

BIO: I write, I fish, I help people, I help the environment, I do what I can to promote fly fishing in Colorado. I was with the Colorado Department of Parks and Wildlife and I can identify a New Zealand Mudsnail and Didymo. Don’t come near me or my streams if your boots aren’t clean.

Carp Slam: 2014- Rookie

Favorite Carp Fly: My fly box overfloweth.

Why I am competing: Conservation should always be a priority on a fisherman’s mind.  Our planet has a finite amount of pristine watersheds left and it is up to us to protect them. While the Denver South Platte is not pristine (YET), it deserves our love and attention. We MUST do what we can to restore a healthy aquatic habitat for bugs and fish. Competing in the Carp Slam and the Slamateur Fundraising event is a great way to support the Denver South Platte.

Danny demos what a Kelly Galloup's Sex Dungeon looks like to a monster trout. The brown trout fry was subsequently release to grow into that monster trout.

Bold Prediction: Even though I only have one facebook friend and 76 Linkedin connections, everyone of them will commit to supporting the restoration of the Denver South Platte aquatic habitat.
